I'm told the superbowl was a great game and a Steeler win certainly beats the alternative but I missed it this year. I was backcountry skiing down a "super bowl" as the last step in my avalanche 1 certification. The skin up took a little over an hour but we had bluebird day conditions and the views of the Northern San Juans were increadible. The ride down was adrenaline filled with plenty of powder. Next year I'll be firmly planted on a couch somewhere watching the Patriots dominate some lesser team..... or I'll be skiing.
